The dangerous overtaking of a BMW on a Tacoronte highway ends in an accident: "The prank caused six injuries, one of them seriously."

Trapped between the wreckage of an overturned car, an unconscious man was resuscitated by emergency crews after a brutal crash on the highway in northern Tenerife. He was traveling in a blue car with two women. One of them was able to get out on her own, although in a state of shock. The driver and the other passenger were immobilized and had to wait for firefighters to free them.

The vehicle had rolled over several times after being hit. It all happened around 7:00 p.m. on Holy Thursday evening, near Tacoronte, when a white BMW was making dangerous maneuvers and collided with several cars.

Accident in Tenerife The trail of the white BMW and the unknowns being investigated by the Civil Guard

Minutes before the crash, Sara was returning from the south with her husband and children when they noticed the BMW approaching at high speed, passing on the right and weaving between lanes.

From their car, they used their cell phone to record what they thought would be evidence to charge them with reckless driving. They didn't realize until later that the video had also captured the exact moment of the accident.

The Civil Guard has added this footage to the investigation file. It shows the BMW attempting to move forward where there was no room and colliding with two cars. The worst hit, the blue vehicle, was completely overturned. The other, a rental car, had three occupants who suffered minor injuries.

After the impact, Sara called 112, and her husband got out of the car to help the injured. Upon returning, he told her the driver of the BMW had gotten out, grabbed something from inside the car, and then walked away. They couldn't confirm whether he left or stayed in the area, as they decided to move forward to avoid obstructing traffic.

The driver, a young man from Tenerife in his early twenties, was located shortly afterward. According to Atlántico Hoy , officers are also analyzing other social media recordings showing the same vehicle performing illegal maneuvers. They are also investigating whether a relative of the young man was driving in front of him in another high-end car just before the crash.
